Coal Artistry – workshops

Mining heritage educational learning resources – volunteers research, design and create unique maps in relation to black miners’ migration experiences

Documentary film making – involving young people and sharing media production skills to help prepare people for employment opportunities

Heritage research activity – collating and preserving former miners’ oral histories helping people to use their voice to educate others and promote learning 

Oral history skills workshops – preserving heritage and transferring knowledge by encouraging people to share their lived- experiences to aid tolerance and understanding

Media skills workshops – enhancing life skills (e.g. communication, collaboration and commitment) through digital and broadcast media production for all

Touring exhibitions and displays promoting public awareness of our shared heritage and reaching out to schools, educational institutions, diverse groups and hard to reach communities

Our valuable partnership with the National Coal Mining Museum for England in Yorkshire, provides unique collaborative experiences for volunteers and visitors through events, training and research.
